Developer EMAAR Properties hired WET Design, the company responsible for constructing a similar dancing fountain at the Bellagio Hotel
and Casino in Las Vegas.
Like nearly all projects undertaken in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa Lake Dancing Fountains are the biggest, most advanced, and priciest in the world. The total project was completed at a cost of nearly $218 million. The Arabic music performances utilize 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors. The water jets are capable of shooting 240 feet into the air.
